HR Specialist (Recruiting Focused)

HOUSTON, TX

TYPE OF POSITION: Full Time/Non-Exempt

LOCATION: TEXAS; Hybrid schedule after successful completion of initial training period

SCHEDULE: Monday- Friday; 40 hours per week

The HR Specialist will play a key role in recruiting top talent for PRS while providing essential support across various HR functions. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruiting efforts at multiple locations within the organization and contributing to the broader HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, leave management and compliance with employment laws. The HR Specialist will work closely with the HR Director and other team members to contribute to the overall success of the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Strategically source qualified candidates using both traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, and a variety of social media platforms.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide tailored recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain a productive presence on social media.
  • Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
  • Review, screen, and maintain applicants on public job boards.
  • Conduct phone screens, schedule interviews in coordination with Hiring Managers, and manage the candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Manage candidates and requisitions through applicant tracking system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.  

Experience and Qualifications Desired:

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Recruiter, HR assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position. 
  • Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and HRIS/ATS systems. 
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. 
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidential and constructive relationships.
  • Punctual and reliable work record

Computer Skills: High proficiency with computer applications, specifically MS Office; working knowledge of PRS Team Site; Familiarity with ATS (Applicant Tracking System) software and resume databases; experience with Hiring Thing ATS Platform is a plus; LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed; Type 50+ WPM.

Education: Degree or degree in progress.

Other Requirements: Must have and maintain reliable transportation and possess and maintain valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance; work evening/weekends occasionally as requested; overnight travel as requested may be required.
